Registration Deadline - August 1, 2009

Registration Form

We have Margaret Bendig scheduled for Sept 19 & 20.  We got lucky with this one. She is going to be teaching workshops the previous week in Dallas area and has added us on to her tour.  The 2 day Workshop Piece is "Summer Time". This was the piece she taught in San Antonio at SCR in 2008.  She is teaching a different piece at the Needleworks in May.

This project is designed to study the effects of light on silk and patterns in design.  There are 40 different blocks with a multitude of stitches that compose this design, in addition to the borders.  She w ill discuss the care and use of silk, silk laying techniques and pattern usage.

The project can be kitted in two different color ways: blues, yellows and cream on white Congress Cloth or geranium (rose/red), greens and creams on eggshell Congress Cloth.  Each color way has two overdyed
silks in addition to the eight solid colors included in the kit.  It will be worked on 24 count Congress Cloth and the design size is approximately 10” square.  Pre-work will be stitching the inner dividing bands before class.  Canvas and threads will be mailed to each student.

Kit Fee is $110.
Non refundable deposit $25
Color choices: blue/yellow or rose/green
