Design Your Own Geometric October 24, 2008
Our Bluebonnet members love their geometric projects!  This workshop helps you “do it yourself!”  Sue will discuss the ABC’s of planning a geometric design: things to do vs. things to avoid.  In this interactive class will be filled with tools and tips, discussions and drawing and perhaps even some stitching.

Deposit: $60.00 (Kit fee plus a $25 non-refundable deposit)
Proficiency Level: All levels
Kit: Folder of Tips for future reference, drawing paper, graph paper, packet of Tools - drawing pencils, sharpener, eraser and ruler.

Student to bring: Bring your favorite stitch book, one set of 8” x 8” stretcher bars, a few basic threads for a design (in case you must start stitching), along with your ideas and questions. 

To sign up, please send coupon and a check made payable to Bluebonnet Chapter ANG for $60.00 (kit fee plus a $25 non-refundable deposit).  Provide either a current e-mail address or a stamped, pre-addressed business-sized envelope.  All additional fees (teaching fee, facility fee, travel expenses, etc.) will be divided among the participants and billed at a later date.

“Crossing the Spectrum” is designed to give you a sense of the color spectrum, but in a creatively stitched way. Don’t like the warm red/red orange?  Prefer the cool blue/blue violet?  If so personalize your design to fit you mood or color preferences by the placement of the colors.

Deposit: $80 (Kit fee)
Proficiency Level: Advanced Intermediate
Design Size: 7 ¼ ” x 7 ¼”
Kit: Marked design on ecru congress cloth, booklet and color photocopy, project card, 16 cards of Splendor Silks, #4 metallic braid in gold and in silver.
Four background color choices are offered:
#857 dark navy (model); #801 black; #1073 dark gray; or #940 dark green.
Students bring: Usual stitching tools. A teacher’s letter will let you know what size stretcher bars to bring.
